You spend most of your time behind the wheel of a bouncy, magical delivery truck, zipping around Wenvale with a list of arcade-style objectives. Missions are short and focused: deliver packages, run over pedestrians to ‘isekai’ them, smash things to collect time-extensions, and graze or ram police cars when they get in the way. Driving feels intentionally arcade-ish — it’s not a simulator, it’s a frenzied toy — but that sometimes clashes with inconsistent physics. I adored the moments where a perfect drift sent me flying into a ramp and everything clicked, and I also cursed the camera and odd reverse quirks when a tiny bump morphed into a ten-second recovery fight. Sessions are timed, so there’s a rhythm of rush, score-chase, and rinse-repeat that’s perfect for short bursts.

When Truck-kun and Isekai Collide

The game leans hard into its isekai gag: Carissa, the salarywoman turned anime sword-girl, narrates and powers up as you harvest stars from sent folks. That framing gives the driving loop a comic spine — you’re not just smashing the town for the hell of it, you’re collecting resources for a Galactic Gate and eventually a showdown with a Skeleton King. It’s a clever narrative wrapper that keeps the silliness from feeling empty, though some players rightly complain the isekai mechanics don’t always affect driving in meaningful ways. Still, the dialogue, little animations and the elf’s over-the-top reactions make each run feel like a tiny OVA episode, and the star/XP economy encourages replay to unlock more tangents. There are also neat touches — pick-ups that add time, optional delivery routes, and a few emergent funny moments when a ramp, a cop car and a pizza delivery all collide into glorious chaos.

Sound, Look and the Thing Under the Hood

Visually it’s colorful, cartoony and intentionally loud: think exaggerated hit effects, big pop UI and an eye-watering palette that matches the comedic tone. Performance on my PC was smooth in open-world runs but I noticed occasional camera snap or physics stutter that can turn a good run sour — likely fixable with patches. The ska-inspired soundtrack by David Mason is legitimately energizing; those horn lines make you want to chase a combo just to see where the song takes you. Accessibility options are basic but present; controls can be remapped and difficulty is mostly self-imposed by how many goals you tackle per run. Ultimately, the presentation sells the absurd idea — it looks and sounds like it wants to be a ridiculous anime short you play on repeat, even if the mechanical depth isn’t always there.
