Box Knight, the Hades x The Office action roguelike from We Made A Thing Studios, launches on Steam 25 Aug 2026. Demo live. Playable at Gamescom Hall 10.1 F63.

Box Knight is not a cardboard-crafting sim. It is the debut action roguelike from Adelaide's We Made A Thing Studios (Wemat Games), a film and TV shop shipping its first playable game.
Steam lists 25 August 2026. This morning the store was still flipping from Coming Soon to live 1.0. A demo is already up. There are no public Steam reviews yet.
Clock out Friday at 5pm, become the Box Knight, and brawl through an office of co-workers turned monsters until you reach the CEO. Die, visit the Council of Janitors, come back meaner next week.
Studio press calls it Hades energy with The Office setting and a splash of South Park attitude. Useful as a vibe check, not a review score.
The demo is solo. Full release adds local couch co-op and split-screen. Steam languages: English, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese. There is no German build.
Hands-on at the Ukiyo Studios booth:
We are not scoring Box Knight yet. When 1.0 is actually playable we will run a full English review.
Until then: wishlist or buy on Steam when the unlock flips, or go swing cardboard in Hall 10.1. Studio site: playboxknight.com.
