Terahard's tactical roguelite is now available on Steam, pairing destructible terrain with a caravan campaign where every loss can reshape the next run.

Dunebound Tactics launched on Steam for Windows PC on September 14, 2026. Developed by Terahard Ltd and published by indie.io, the single-player roguelite combines turn-based battles with the long-term survival of a caravan crossing a hostile desert. Its defining idea is simple to understand but potentially demanding in practice: the battlefield is something to change, not merely a board to occupy.
Players can destroy and reshape terrain, build defensive structures, place traps, and push enemies into hazards. That makes positioning more than a search for the safest fixed tile. A wall, bridge, pit, or route can become part of the plan, while the launch version includes a complete four-act campaign, the full class roster, and more than 50 modules for building a run.
The strategic pressure continues outside combat. Wounded crew members can be healed, but their Elios can also be extracted to keep the caravan moving. Modules found during a failed attempt can support later runs, and survivors from an earlier wreck may appear again. The result is aimed at players who enjoy tactical experimentation, resource pressure, and progress that continues after defeat.
Dunebound Tactics looks best suited to players comfortable with difficult turn-based encounters, run resets, and lasting crew losses. A PAX West preview by Hey Poor Player reported that fallen crew members were gone for good and described the challenge as immense. The same preview encountered a glitch that ended its demo session. That happened in a pre-release demo, so it does not establish a problem in the final launch build.
Players who dislike losing developed characters, prefer forgiving campaigns, or want independent coverage of the finished version should wait. No independent full review of the final build was available among the sources checked for this report. This launch overview is based on official materials and independent reporting, not on a BestOfGames playtest.
