WheelMates is live on Steam today
WheelMates is Firevolt's two-player RC-car co-op. It is live on Steam as of 1 September 2026. Full 1.0 (Adventure, Indie, Racing), not Early Access.
Buy it on Steam at $17.99 (was $19.99, 10% off). EUR storefront: 17,99€ (was 19,99€, 10%). Windows only. The live widget is the price. Steam's Launch FAQ said 10% until 15 September 2026. That matches what the widget shows now.
Steam review bag: "2 user reviews" (2 total, 1 positive, 1 negative). No aggregate percentage label yet. We are not scoring today.

Two tiny cars, one house, two players
Steam's about text: you and a friend answer a call for help from a professor who has mysteriously disappeared. You take two tiny RC cars through his maze-like home laboratory, drive over shelves and cluttered desks, and piece together the experiments he left behind.
This is mandatory co-op. Progress "depends on working together." Puzzles want communication, timing, and both players doing their part. A Steam Q&A is blunt: strictly two-player, no current plans for solo or for more than two.
Gadgets named on the page: rope-swings, magnetic wheels, magnet grabs, plus other power-ups. Hidden rooms open as you go. Steam news puts the main story around 6 hours, closer to 8 if you chase secrets and mini-games. That is a studio figure, not a session we have played.
Friend's Pass: what Steam actually prints
Friends Pass is not a store feature icon. Visible Steam features on the page: Online Co-op, Shared/Split Screen Co-op, Shared/Split Screen, Steam Achievements, Family Sharing. Categories also include Multi-player, Color Alternatives, custom volume, DualShock and DualSense support, stereo sound, and Partial Controller Support. Remote Play Together is not listed. We are not claiming it.
What Steam news does print:
- Launch FAQ: "Friend's Pass" will be available alongside the Steam version, "which means your friend can join for free."
- Dev Q&A: the question uses "Friend's Pass"; the answer uses "Friends Pass" and "two people to play with just one copy of the game."
One copy, two play, if those posts hold now that it is live. Spelling is inconsistent on Steam's own news. We are quoting both.

When we review
We are not scoring WheelMates today. We have not played it, and Steam has only two user reviews with no percentage label. We do not invent a 7.x or a Steam percentage from that.
When we have played it we will run a review and park it on the hub. Until then this is launch news plus Steam status. No fake "read the review" link.
