Steam reviews

What players say

Mostly positive: players enjoy the fast, satisfying combat and many weapons, but the poor English translation and rough polish are the main complaints.

Many players praise the fast, responsive hack-and-slash combat, with no stamina bar, a wide range of weapons with distinct moves, and a difficulty curve that some find challenging and others easy. Playful extras such as photo mode, mini-games, hidden secrets, costumes and extra game modes come up often, and players enjoy the goofy tone. The most common complaint is the English localisation: machine-translated, sometimes comical, with many lines still in Chinese. Some players also mention bugs, stiff animations, a short story and a rough interface. Some players who expected more adult content found it limited to costumes and mods. Recent sentiment could not be compared, so the picture is drawn from the older helpful reviews, which lean positive at this price.

Criticised

  • Poor English translation

Machine-translated text, spelling errors, odd system messages and many untranslated lines still in Chinese.

    Many players
  • Rough polish and bugs

Players report bugs, stiff animations, weak hit feedback, choppy visuals and a clunky interface.

    Many players
  • Short, thin story

The story is short and hard to follow because of translation gaps, and some players skip it entirely.

    Some players
Who it suits
Suits players who like fast hack-and-slash combat and do not mind rough presentation, machine translation or a small budget, especially at a sale price.
Who should skip it
Should skip it if you need a polished, fully translated game or expect a deep story or extensive adult content.

Short vs. long playtime: Players with under 20 hours mostly recommend it for the combat and humour, while players with 20 to 200 hours are split and more often cite repetition, bugs and the untranslated content.
