What players say

Players mostly recommend this roguelite for its inventory-puzzle backpack and addictive runs, though grinding progression and balance issues draw recurring complaints.

Many players praise the backpack inventory system, which turns each run into a puzzle of fitting items and weapons for synergies, and say that makes it stand out from other survivor-like games. Players also enjoy the wide variety of items and characters, the couch co-op, the art style and good performance on Steam Deck. Some compare it favourably to Vampire Survivors, Brotato and Backpack Hero. Complaints centre on slow meta progression and apple grinding, weak early loot, unbalanced weapons (guns and throwing weapons in particular), and late-game runs becoming too easy or dominated by one item. Several reviewers also report crashes, frame drops and a few bugs, and ask for more enemies, weapons and content. Recent reviews are more mixed, with more complaints about repetitive runs, slow pacing and the difficulty of unlocking characters, although many still praise the core loop.

Who it suits

Suits players who enjoy inventory puzzles, survivor-like action and repeated short runs, and who accept some grinding for unlocks.

Who should skip it

Players who dislike slow progression grinds or expect a large amount of content and balanced weapons in this early access version should wait.

Short vs. long playtime: Players with over 100 hours more often raise late-game easiness and repetition, while newer players mainly mention the slow early progression and grinding.
