Goblin Company is BitBorne’s co-op mining survival debut — dig tunnels, lay chaotic rail networks, fight the dark and the creatures, chase the Giant Crystal for WHAAG MINING INC. Solo or online co-op, Deep Rock–adjacent but sillier and cheaper. Best with friends who like janky physics comedy; wait if you need polished DRG-level systems day one.

Dig, rail, and survive underground as goblin miners. Very Positive but janky. Score 7.3 — buy for friend-group disasters; wait if you need Deep Rock polish.
Goblin Company hires you into WHAAG MINING INC. with a simple job: dig deeper, light the dark, and bring home the Giant Crystal before the caves eat your crew. BitBorne’s four-person debut leans hard into co-op comedy — rail rollercoasters, darkness that drains you, creatures in destructible biomes. Steam is Very Positive with a visible minority calling out bugs and clunk; that split belongs in the score.
Laser drills carve routes; rails turn the mine into a poorly managed underground theme park. Light management is the tension valve. Solo works, but the fantasy is online co-op chaos. Post-launch patches have been frequent — the bones are solid, the finish still catching up.
Buy Goblin Company if you want affordable co-op mining stories and can laugh through jank. Wait if you need Deep Rock Galactic’s polish or hate unstable multiplayer sessions. At 7.3 it is a fun, unfinished hole in the ground.
The best nights are when a rail mistake becomes the run’s highlight. The worst are when performance or bugs end the shift early.
