iRacing is back at number 4 in the US Steam top sellers. Season 4 Patch 2 is scheduled for November 3, followed by a busy month of special events.

iRacing is back in the top sellers of the US Steam store. Steam's chart lists the racing sim at number 4, after 162 hours off the list. The next update is close: according to iRacing's status page, downtime is scheduled for the 2026 Season 4 Patch 2 release on Tuesday, November 3rd at 0800 EST / 1300 UTC.

What the patch and the season bring

The status page does not spell out what Patch 2 contains. It sends players to the Staff Announcements thread on the official iRacing Forums for details. The patch lands in the middle of Season 4, which iRacing launched on September 9, 2026, with four all-new cars, three re-scanned tracks and a host of quality-of-life updates. The headline car is the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, which makes its iRacing debut. Road America was rescanned and rebuilt and now has four configurations, including two new Short layouts.

The studio works on a fixed rhythm. Its Seasons & Builds page says a new build arrives every three months; the Season 1 build came out on December 9, 2025, Season 2 on March 10, 2026 and Season 3 on June 09, 2026. In its August 2026 development update, iRacing conceded that Season 4 brought many new scans but no new-to-iRacing tracks. The same post promises that Season 1 will have the studio "returning to form, with the addition of multiple all-new tracks". It also describes a Career Mode in which players advance through objectives given each season.

November on the calendar

iRacing's special events calendar fills the rest of the month. The Homestead Championship runs November 4-9, followed by the Mountain Showdown on November 13-15, where the Super Formula Lights race at Mount Panorama Circuit. The SCCA Runoffs, the end-of-year championship meeting with cars in six classes, take place November 17-21. The month closes with the 992 Endurance Cup on November 27–29, a 12-hour team event that an earlier iRacing post places at Spa-Francorchamps.

A long-running series also starts a new season. On November 16th, the 10th season of the World of Outlaws Pro Series powered by iRacing begins with the first of two championships. iRacing says the 410 Sprint Car Championship carries a combined prize pool of $25,000 for drivers who qualified.

On Steam, the game holds a Very Positive rating: 85 percent of 7,808 user reviews are positive.

For anyone considering a start or a return, the Steam store lists iRacing at $11.59 with no discount; according to the store description, an iRacing membership provides entry to its internet racing. Expect the servers to be down during the patch window on November 3. The special events give newcomers and returning drivers fixed dates to aim for this month. Players waiting for venues that are new to iRacing will have to look to the Season 1 build, which iRacing says will bring them.
