WARDOGS back in US top sellers, Season 3 set for November 12
WARDOGS re-enters the US Steam top sellers at number 8. Season 3, with an economy reset and limited servers, is scheduled for November 12.

WARDOGS is back among the top sellers on the US Steam store, entering the chart at position 8 after 132 hours without a listing. On November 1 the Early Access shooter from BULKHEAD and Team17 had 78,601 players online at 05:41 UTC and a daily peak of 136,014, rank 15 on Steam's current players chart. Season 3, according to PCGamesN, is currently scheduled for Thursday, November 12.
What Season 3 brings
PCGamesN reports that Season 3 will come with a fresh economy reset and introduce limited servers that restrict what players can bring into a match. The name is not final, with "primitive" the other leading candidate, and Bulkhead's Nightingale hopes these servers won't be necessary by the time version 1.0 arrives. Earlier PCGamesN coverage had tied the feature to a mid-season update 0.25, and another report said Season 3 could be brought "significantly" forward to offer "a proper fresh start".
The planned Season 3 preview devlog has been pushed back. "We're making some big moves," Community Manager Brian 'L0ssy' McCrann said, as quoted by PCGamesN a day ago.
Longer term, the studio wants a slower pace. In a PCGamesN report, Brammer says: "We've got to slow down. We can't do monthly seasons." He suggests three-month refreshes with a smaller update in between and wants to move away from the "heavy vertical progression" of Season 1.
A rocky Season 2
Season 2 did not go smoothly. One day in, PC Gamer reports, Bulkhead dropped the bonus for the Blue team. According to PCGamesN it amounted to 5% cash and 2.5% XP, small but enough to swing the most dedicated grinders to that side. The same backend update fixed driver progression and a driver exploit. "We were wrong," Brammer said, as quoted by PC Gamer.
The studio also called its deliberately faster progression "the wrong call", per PCGamesN. DualShockers reports that the XP needed to reach role level 20 had dropped from 250,000 to 111,500.
Player numbers held up, with PCGamesN noting daily highs reaching 300,000 active users. Reviews are another matter. Of 151,011 Steam reviews, 65% are positive, which Steam rates Mixed. The store page shows 53% positive among the 42,300 reviews from the last 30 days, while English reviews overall stand at 73% positive. Brammer told PCGamesN that "Steam's algorithm doesn't push you if your recent reviews slip to mixed." In the Steam forum, one pilot complained after the Season 2 launch that helicopters "got completely gutted".
The store page describes one hundred players split across three teams fighting over a control zone on a destructible battlefield in Eastern Europe. It shares its FPS, Military and Tactical tags with Squad, Insurgency: Sandstorm and BattleBit Remastered.
WARDOGS costs $39.99 on Steam, with no discount running. It is still in Early Access, and DualShockers reports a console version is planned after the full launch. For new or returning players, the date to watch is November 12, when Season 3 is scheduled to arrive with a fresh economy reset. The details are still due in the delayed devlog, and recent reviews remain Mixed.
